What Is Jin Ji Bao Xi?

The name comes from the Chinese phrase 金鸡报喜 (jīn jī bào xǐ), which means "the golden rooster announces good news." In Chinese tradition, the rooster heralds the dawn and new beginnings, so the phrase is a common New Year blessing.

That meaning shapes the whole game. The golden rooster, red lanterns, gold ingots, and fortune symbols all point to one idea: prosperity arriving.

Jin Ji Bao Xi began as a series of land-based slot cabinets from Light & Wonder (formerly Scientific Games). It became well known on casino floors across Asia before online versions appeared. Casino Plus carries it as one of a small group of live slots, alongside its sister title JJBX Gold.

How Does the Fu Value Feature Work?

Fu (福) means "good fortune." In Jin Ji Bao Xi, Fu Value symbols are the game's multiplier system.

What they are: symbols that carry a value, shown by Casino Plus as ranging from 1 to 10.
Where they appear: across the reels during regular spins.
What they do: they can raise the amount paid on a winning result.
Version note: the exact value range and behavior depend on which version you open.

Fu Value symbols raise the size of some wins. They do not make wins happen more often. Treat them as a way a win can grow, not a sign that one is coming.

Note: older articles described Fu Value as paying "up to 15 times your bet." That figure does not match what the Casino Plus game page shows, so it has been removed here.

What Does the Top-Up Feature Do?

The Top-Up feature is Jin Ji Bao Xi's route into bonus play. According to Casino Plus, it may trigger free spins and extra bonus chances during a session.

Two practical points matter here:

Triggers are random. Playing longer or raising your bet does not "unlock" Top-Up sooner unless the in-game rules say so.
Check the rules screen. The exact trigger conditions and free-spin counts appear in the game's own info panel. Read it before you place a real-money bet.

How Do the Four Progressive Jackpots Work?

Jin Ji Bao Xi has four progressive jackpot tiers:

Mini: the smallest tier, and typically the most frequent.
Minor: a mid-low prize tier.
Major: a larger tier that grows more slowly between hits.
Grand: the top prize, and typically the rarest.

"Progressive" means the prize grows as players keep placing bets across the platform, then resets after someone wins. On September 29, 2026, the Casino Plus lobby showed the Jin Ji Bao Xi jackpot meter at more than ₱28 million. That figure changes constantly, so check the live lobby for the current amount.

A large meter does not mean a jackpot is "due." Every spin is independent. A Grand prize that has grown for weeks is no more likely to land on your next spin than one that just reset.

Echo Fortunes vs. Endless Treasures: What Is the Difference?

Casino Plus offers two Jin Ji Bao Xi versions. Both share the theme and jackpot structure, but they play differently.

Jin Ji Bao Xi Echo Fortunes

This version uses a reel interaction system. Neighboring reels can create extra effects on each other, so what lands on one reel can affect the result beside it.

Jin Ji Bao Xi Endless Treasures

This version leans toward expanding rewards, progressive jackpot chances, and bonus-heavy mechanics. It suits players who mainly want to see the bonus side of the game.

Which One Should You Choose?

Choose Echo Fortunes if you want to follow how reels interact on each spin.
Choose Endless Treasures if you prefer frequent bonus-style action.
Try both at a low bet before choosing, since the game page does not publish separate RTP or bet figures for each.

What Does "Live Slot" Mean at Casino Plu

Casino Plus files Jin Ji Bao Xi under Live Slots, not its regular slot catalog. The platform describes this category as a real-time online slot machine experience.

For players, this means three things:

Real-time play: Casino Plus presents these games as a live, real-time slot experience rather than part of its standard slot catalog.
Shared jackpots: the progressive meters reflect activity from many players, which is why they can reach eight figures.
A small, focused lobby: the Live Slots section holds only a handful of titles, so it is quick to find.

The live format is the main reason Jin Ji Bao Xi at Casino Plus feels different from the many online look-alikes built on the same theme.

How to Play Jin Ji Bao Xi on Casino Plus

Register or log in. You must be 21 or older and complete account verification.
Open Live Slots. Go to the games lobby and choose the Live Slots category.
Select Jin Ji Bao Xi. Pick Echo Fortunes or Endless Treasures.
Read the info panel. Check the paytable, feature rules, and bet options inside the game.
Set your bet. Start low while you learn how the version behaves.
Spin and watch the features. Fu Value symbols, Top-Up, and jackpot wins are shown on screen when they trigger.

The game runs in a mobile browser on Android and iOS, so no separate download is needed. Turn your phone sideways if the reels feel cramped in portrait view.

What Should You Know About RTP, Volatility, and Risk?

RTP (return to player) is the share of total bets a game is designed to pay back over a very large number of spins. Casino Plus does not publish an RTP for Jin Ji Bao Xi on its game page. If the figure matters to you, look for it in the in-game rules or ask customer support.

Volatility describes how wins are spread out. Casino Plus rates Jin Ji Bao Xi as medium to high volatility. In practice, that usually means:

longer stretches without a win are normal;
individual wins can be larger when they come;
your balance can move up and down sharply in one session.

Neither RTP nor volatility predicts what happens in your session. No feature, bet size, or timing improves your odds of landing a jackpot.

Play within your limits. Casino Plus is registered and regulated by PAGCOR. If gambling stops being fun, you can use PAGCOR's Online Self-Exclusion Application or call the 24/7 National Problem Gambling Helpline at (02) 8248-9568.

Common Misconceptions About Jin Ji Bao Xi

"The Grand jackpot is due after a long run." False. Each spin is independent of the last.
"Fu Value symbols mean a big win is coming." False. They can raise a win's size, not how often you win.
"Betting more triggers Top-Up faster." Not unless the in-game rules state it. Check the info panel.
"Every Jin Ji Bao Xi game online is the same." False. Versions differ in mechanics, and the Casino Plus live slot uses shared progressive meters.
